ADVENT:WEEK 1 Dear Lord, Thank you for coming into this dark world, bringing light and hope to a lost people. Please continue to shine your light into people’s hearts and lives. Amen

Sunday 3rd December 9.30am and 10.45am Service for Advent; 4pm Kerrith Church Service



ADVENT: WEEK 2 Father God, Thank you for your love for us – undeserved and sometimes treated so lightly- expressed by you so clearly in the life and death of Jesus. Work in us to deepen our love for you and demonstrate your love to others. Amen

Monday 4th Advent Market 9am – 2pm

Tuesday 5th Advent Market 1pm – 4pm

Wednesday 6th Advent Market 11am to 3pm Advent Service at 12.30pm and 7.30pm

Thursday 7th Advent Market 10am – 1pm

Friday 8th Advent Market 10am to 2pm

These advent markets go to supporting Crossroads and their night time carer provision.

Saturday 9th Advent Film Evening starts at 7pm. This is called Jerusalem or Bust and is about God leading a group of people on a pilgrimage that ends up in Jerusalem. The producer of the film will be attending the event and speaking about it. It is a Christian film having its premier tour this year. The evening will include drinks and snacks.



ADVENT:WEEK 3:Thank you God, for the joy that you give that fills our hearts. Thank you that people can find joy in you in many different ways. At this advent time, fill our hearts with heavenly joy. Amen

Wednesday 13th December 12.30pm and 7.30pm Advent Services

Youth House Party at Carroty Wood for week-end



ADVENT: WEEK 4: ‘He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. And he will be their peace’ Micah 5:4-5

Dear Lord, please bring your peace in greater measure in my life. Help those in distress or turmoil this Christmas, find peace in you. Amen

Wednesday 20th December 10.30am Carol service at Leslie Dunn 11am. Carol Singing at Winton House 2pm Carol Singing at Sandown Park 12.30pm and 7.30pm Advent services in church

Thursday 21st December Christmas Café Capers from 9am -2pm (last day of café until Monday 8th January)

Sunday 24th December Christmas Eve

Breakfast with Jesus hosted by Tuesday Team. Starts at 9am and breakfast will stop being served around 11am. This is an open breakfast time with moments of Christmas reflections. Come and put

Jesus first at the start of this Christmas Celebrations. As well as breakfast there will be some acts of worship at 10am and 11am

3pm Open Top Bus Tour with carol singing. Meet at church, children can dress up, characters from nativity or a Christingle. This will be followed by 4 open air Christingle services around the parish. 4pm at Gospel Hall on Corner of Ruddles Way; 4.40pm at Homer school Testwood Road 5.15pm Pirate Park Dedworth Road; 6pm All Saints Church. These are planned to try and get the whole of the parish outside for traditional carols and Christingles on Christmas eve.

11.30pm Midnight Service to celebrate the night of Jesus’ Birth

Monday 25th December 10.30am Christmas Day Family Celebration in Church as we remember Jesus.

Sunday 31st December 9.30am and 10.45am End of the Year Services to thank God for His numerous blessings and for being with us for the last 365 days.

This year our giving over Christmas will be towards Shelter Box a charity that puts together rescue packs for disasters that happen around the world.

O God most holy, exalted one. King of kings, Lord of hosts, how privileged are we to sing your praises and lift high your wonderful name. Gracious God, may your Spirit so enter our hearts and take charge of our lives this year that we walk in your way and follow in the path of Jesus’ calling, putting you first in our lives in everything. For we ask it in his holy name. Amen
