All Saints Dedworth
Many of you will be aware that, as a Church of England church, we have an Electoral Roll, which is the parish church’s register of those qualified to attend and to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting where the elections take place for the Parochial Church Council and for the parish’s representatives on the Deanery Synod.
Every six years, the whole Electoral Roll is revised, and everybody must re-apply (or apply for the first time) if they would like to be on the Roll and eligible to vote at this year’s Annual Parochial Church Meeting. 2019 is a year of full revision, and registration is now open. You can find further information about what the Electoral Roll is by filling in the electoral roll form.
The purpose of this form is to register the fact that you see All Saints’ Dedworth as your home and regular place of worship and that you wish to be part of the community. By joining the Electoral Roll, it will mean that you are eligible to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting in the elections of those wishing to stand the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and the Deanery Synod.
Anyone may be on the Electoral Roll of the Parish of Dedworth, who
a) is resident in the Parish,
b) or has habitually attended worship at All Saints Dedworth during the six months prior to the revision of the Electoral Roll.
You can easily find out whether or not you live in the parish by going to www.achurchnearyou.com and entering your postcode
Completed Application Forms must be returned to the electoral roll officer or churchwarden at All Saints Dedworth no later than Sunday 10th March 2019.
